How to Install kmc software package in Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus)

kmc software package provides count kmers in genomic sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kmc

kmc is installed in your system.

Make ensure the kmc package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kmc *

You will get with kmc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
